DS Automobiles Unveils 'DS Cultural Café' in Casablanca

DS Automobiles Launches a Unique Cultural Experience in Casablanca

In a remarkable initiative coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, DS Automobiles has unveiled the inaugural edition of the 'DS Cultural Café' at the DS Gallery, located within the Massira showroom in Casablanca. This ephemeral café, running from March 12 to March 15, offers a series of four artistic evenings that blend poetry, photography, music, and gastronomy. These events are designed to foster convivial gatherings and interactions with notable figures from Morocco's vibrant artistic and cultural scene.

Mehdi Laghzaoui, the Director of DS Automobiles Morocco, articulated the brand's commitment to creativity and the arts, stating, "DS Automobiles has always maintained a close relationship with creation and craftsmanship. With the DS Cultural Café, we aimed to conceptualize an artistic rendezvous that reflects the brand's spirit, creating a dialogue between design, culture, and talent." This event serves as a cultural interlude, inviting the DS community, art enthusiasts, design aficionados, and cultural figures to engage in moments of inspiration within an intimate and refined atmosphere.

A Celebration of Art and Culture

More than just a series of events, the DS Cultural Café positions DS Automobiles at the heart of Casablanca's creative dialogue, uniting artists, emerging talents, and enthusiasts around a shared vision of vibrant and inspiring culture and craftsmanship. Each night features a distinct artistic discipline, providing guests with exclusive opportunities to interact with artists and discover the showcased DS vehicles in an engaging setting.

The program, titled 'DS Cultural Café – Live Night Sessions,' runs from 8:30 PM to 10:15 PM, alternating between inspiring talks, interactive workshops, and intimate exchanges with the featured artists. The opening night on March 12 featured stage artist Hassan El Jaï, who captivated the attendees with a dramatic reading of his piece "The Quest for Love," interwoven with traditional music from Said Nouiar. The following evening spotlighted Swiss photographer Laurence von der Weid, who shared her passion for light and offered a workshop on smartphone photography techniques, aimed at helping participants create more professional images.

On March 14, the musical group Jubantouja took center stage, blending pop-rock sounds with influences from the High Atlas region, delivering an acoustic showcase that resonated deeply with the audience through melodies in Amazigh and poignant poetry. The series concluded on March 15 with Chef Omar Bennis, who recently returned to Morocco after working in prestigious French kitchens. He presented a contemporary, inventive culinary experience through a participatory live cooking session, sharing the artistry of haute cuisine with the guests.

Through the DS Cultural Café, DS Automobiles reaffirms its commitment to fostering conversations that intertwine design, innovation, and artistic creation. This initiative exemplifies the brand's ambition to integrate itself into the Moroccan cultural ecosystem, offering unique experiences where automotive design meets art and talent, thereby enriching the local cultural landscape.
