Dubai's Civil Defense teams are currently engaged in cooling operations in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport (DXB). Authorities have confirmed that the fire which erupted in a fuel tank near the airport has been extinguished, according to a statement from the Dubai Government Media Office released at 7:23 PM.
The fire was first reported early Monday morning at 3:53 AM and was attributed to an "incident involving a drone." By 5:10 AM, officials announced that they had managed to control the blaze, and there were no reported injuries.

The incident led to a temporary suspension of flights, with some services bound for Dubai International Airport being redirected to Al Maktoum Airport. However, after nearly five hours, the airport announced a gradual resumption of selected flights. Emirates Airlines confirmed that a limited flight schedule is expected to operate from Dubai after 10 AM following a short suspension period.
Dubai International Airport urged travelers not to head to the airport unless they have been directly contacted by their airlines.
Additionally, Dubai authorities temporarily closed several roads; Airport Road, the airport tunnel, and the Al Garhoud Bridge leading to Al Casablanca Street, as well as intersections at the Cargo Village and Marrakech Street towards the airport, were all shut down.
Traffic has now resumed on most routes, although Airport Road remains closed to vehicles coming from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Al Khawaneej, as well as the Marrakech Street intersection heading towards Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
