Ecuador's Economic Promotion Week Unveils Opportunities in Morocco
The Ecuadorian Economic Promotion Week commenced on Monday in Rabat, Morocco's capital, marking a significant initiative aimed at showcasing the potential of Ecuador within the Moroccan market. This initiative is backed by the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), which emphasizes the importance of fostering bilateral relations and exploring collaborative opportunities across various sectors.
The official launch occurred during a meeting led by AMCI's ambassador and Director General, Mohamed Methqal, as detailed in a press release from the agency. Throughout the week, a series of events and meetings are scheduled in Rabat, Casablanca, and Dakhla, aimed at cultivating mutually beneficial business partnerships between Moroccan and Ecuadorian enterprises. This initiative aligns with the vision of King Mohammed VI, who advocates for enhanced economic ties.
Leading the Ecuadorian delegation is Sanchez Icaza Cesar Janvier, the Undersecretary for Negotiations at the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, and Investment. The presence of such a high-level delegation underscores Ecuador's commitment to strengthening its relations with Morocco, with expectations to boost trade and attract increased investment. The program for this promotional week includes engagements with public institutions and private sector stakeholders, including the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), sectoral federations, the Professional Group of Banks of Morocco (GPBM), and the Casablanca Finance City business ecosystem, alongside the Regional Investment Center (CRI) in Dakhla.
These discussions are poised to highlight Ecuador's economic potential, particularly in key sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, and energy, thereby paving the way for new partnerships and investment opportunities.
