On Saturday, the first football team of Egyptian Port Said Club departed from the capital, Cairo, heading towards Casablanca, before proceeding to Marrakech for a closed training camp that will last until August 16, in preparation for the upcoming football season. The team aims to enhance their physical and technical readiness ahead of official competitions during this intensive training session.
The Egyptian club will kick off their season with a match against Smouha Sporting Club on Saturday, August 22, at the new Suez Stadium, starting at 8 PM, as part of the opening round of the new season's competitions. The squad for this camp consists of 46 members, including 28 players, along with the technical staff led by coach Imad Nasr and football director Saif Dawood.
In terms of player transfers, the management of the Egyptian Port Said Club, under the leadership of Kamel Abu Ali, has successfully secured six official signings so far. Among these acquisitions is Moroccan striker Abdullah Al-Ziyani, who joins from Hassania Agadir on a four-year contract. Additionally, the club is actively pursuing further reinforcements, with the name of Moroccan player Reda Slim, currently with Al Ahly, emerging as a potential loan target during the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Egyptian team hopes to maximize their training camp in Marrakech to finalize preparations and ensure the squad is well-equipped as they approach the new season.
