Egyptian Team Faces Marrakech Stars
The Egyptian football team is gearing up for an important match against Marrakech Stars, set to take place at the Marrakech International Stadium. This will be the second and final test for the team during their training camp in Morocco, scheduled for tomorrow evening at 8 PM. The coaching staff has emphasized the importance of involving all players currently in the camp for this crucial game, allowing them to showcase their skills before the start of the new league season.
The coaching team, led by head coach Imad Nassar, is faced with a challenging decision regarding the selection of goalkeepers. Five goalkeepers are training consistently at the camp: Siha, Mahmoud Hamdi, Essam Tharwat, Mohamed Shahat, and Ahmed Wahba. The coaching staff will need to choose both the starting and backup goalkeepers for the upcoming league opener against Smouha on August 22 at the Suez Stadium.
In preparation for the new season, Coach Nassar has been conducting frequent tactical meetings with his players at their accommodation in Marrakech. He is focusing on instilling a balanced playing style for the new league, outlining the roles of players in all three lines of play. The objective is to maximize points accumulation early in the season and secure a spot in the top four teams.
Team Adjustments and Player Transfers
On a different note, the administrative team has reported that several players, including Mohamed Makhlouf and Ahmed Al-Qarmouti, will miss the ongoing training camp due to administrative reasons. However, these players will continue to train individually to maintain their fitness and skill levels ahead of the final camp in Suez, which starts on August 17.
Furthermore, negotiations are ongoing between the club's management and Al Ahly regarding the potential signing of player Reda Selim. This move comes after the Egyptian team secured the services of trio Mohamed Shukri, Mustafa Al-Ish, and Siha. The club is keen to add Selim to their roster to fill the gap left by the return of Al Ahly's on-loan striker Omar Al-Sa’i.
