This ambitious project will link Agadir, located in the southwest of Morocco, with Perpignan, the capital of the Pyrénées-Orientales region in France, incorporating a connection through the bustling Tanger port. A Strategic Corridor for Heavy Transport
This logistics corridor is of particular significance for road transport, as it is estimated that approximately 2,000 heavy trucks traverse this route daily. This high traffic volume presents an excellent opportunity for large-scale experimentation with electric trucks. To facilitate the electrification of this corridor, the three partners plan to implement a variety of tailored solutions designed to enhance the efficiency and usability of electric trucks. One of the key innovations includes the establishment of battery exchange stations, which will dramatically reduce downtime by allowing truck operators to swap out depleted batteries for fully charged ones in mere minutes.
