On the morning of Saturday, April 4, 2026, the city of Marrakech hosted the fourth session of the Women’s Gathering, organized by the National Federation of Women. This significant event took place at the Grand Mogador Agdal Hotel and was centered around the theme: "Women at the Heart of Major Social and Developmental Reforms." The opening of the summit featured a formal session with speeches from prominent figures including Amina Ibn Khadra, the president of the federation, and Mohamed Chouki, the president of the National Rally of Independents party. The summit continued with two thematic workshops. The first workshop addressed the topic of “The Participation of Moroccan Women in Politics: Challenges of Reality and Future Stakes,” featuring contributions from notable politicians and officials such as Nadia Fettah Alaoui, Mbarka Bouida, and Nabila Rmili, along with Mohamed Aujjar and others. The second workshop was dedicated to the theme of “Economic and Social Empowerment of Moroccan Women and Development Stakes,” which included participation from governmental and institutional actors such as Fatima Zahra Amour, Nawal Moutawakil, and various experts and officials.
This summit is part of a series of meetings titled “Path to the Future,” organized by the National Rally of Independents and its affiliated organizations. The aim is to support major reforms and enhance the role of women in public policies. The focus of this session was to foster an extensive discussion on ways to strengthen the political, economic, and social empowerment of women, envisioning prospects for their increased participation in public life.
