Major Operation to Regulate Public Spaces in Marrakech
This Sunday morning, the bustling Kamsa Street in the Al-Mohammedia area of Marrakech witnessed an extensive field campaign aimed at liberating public property from various forms of illegal exploitation. This operation was conducted in coordination and under the direct supervision of the administrative officials from the Al-Mohammedia, Askjour, and Bouakkaz sectors, supported by members of the auxiliary forces and authority assistants. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to organize public spaces and ensure the smooth flow of traffic along this vital roadway.
The field interventions included the removal of unauthorized advertising boards, iron and concrete barriers, as well as the façades of commercial shops and cafes that exceeded legally permitted areas. Additionally, the campaign targeted pulled carts and street vendors who were occupying the sidewalks, causing obstruction for pedestrians and contributing to traffic congestion on routes leading to Marrakech Menara Airport and nearby residential areas.
This collaborative security and administrative operation responds to complaints from citizens and road users, and is part of the implementation of laws regulating the use of public property.
