The highly anticipated quarter-final match between France and Morocco will be screened on large screens across several locations in the Lyon metropolitan area on Thursday, July 9, 2026. This event promises to be a thrilling experience for football fans eager to support their teams in a vibrant atmosphere, reminiscent of past World Cup celebrations. Although there won't be a fan zone at Place Bellecour this year, fans can still find several alternative locations to enjoy the match in a festive setting.

Where to Watch the Match: Fan Zones Around Lyon

While Lyon's city center has opted to reserve its fan zone for a potential final featuring the French team, various local municipalities within the metropolitan area are stepping up to host their own events for the France vs. Morocco quarter-final match, scheduled to kick off at 10 PM. Here are some of the key locations:

  • Saint-Fons: Join fellow fans from 9 PM at the Cressonière Stadium. Admission is free, with a large screen and refreshments available.
  • Vaulx-en-Velin: Starting at 10 PM, head to Plateau Rousseau, located at 4 Rue Hô Chi Minh. Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs, and there will be a large screen along with refreshments.
  • Vénissieux: Gather at Auguste Delaune Stadium from 8 PM for a free screening on a big screen.
  • Corbas: The Leisure Park next to the Hérisson building will host fans starting at 8:30 PM, with a capacity for 500 attendees. Enjoy a cozy lounge space with refreshments and live music from saxophonist Aurélien Boulard. Note that minors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian after 10 PM.
  • Oullins-Pierre-Bénite: Starting at 6 PM, the parking lot of Parc Manillier will host a fan zone featuring a large screen, DJ set, bonfires, and refreshments. Entry is free, accommodating over a thousand spectators.

While the Rayonne in Villeurbanne will not hold its traditional fan zone for this match due to scheduling conflicts with other events, they have indicated a willingness to host a fan zone if France advances to the final. In Lyon, the Palais des Sports de Gerland is being considered as a potential venue should the French team reach the final.
