Five Clubs Poised to Represent Morocco in CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup

Morocco's Top Clubs in Contention for Continental Competitions

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has formally requested five prominent clubs—Royal Army Club, FUS Rabat, Nahdat Berkane, Raja Casablanca, and Wydad Casablanca—to register on the Club platform to secure their professional licenses. This licensing is crucial for their participation in the upcoming editions of the prestigious African Champions League and the Confederation Cup. A responsible source from the federation revealed that the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) decision to close the Club platform on June 30 has compelled the federation to expedite the registration of these five clubs, all of which are fiercely competing for top positions in the professional league, with the final round scheduled for July 5.

Moreover, the same source indicated that while CAF has agreed to postpone the final decision regarding Morocco's representation in the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup until July 25, it has firmly established June 30 as the deadline for obtaining participation licenses in these continental competitions. Currently, both Royal Army Club and FUS Rabat lead the professional league standings, each boasting 49 points, just two points ahead of Nahdat Berkane and three points ahead of Raja Casablanca.
