The renowned hotel group Four Seasons has announced an ambitious project for the construction of a luxury resort perched on the cliffs of Cap Malabata in Tangier, Morocco. This stunning development will feature 27 private villas, complemented by 72 rooms and suites, all offering breathtaking views of the Strait of Gibraltar. The aim is to attract a wealthy international clientele seeking an exclusive getaway.
From the majestic cliffs of Cap Malabata, guests will enjoy spectacular views of the Spanish coastline across the strait, making it a prime location for luxury hospitality. This site marks the establishment of Four Seasons' fourth property in Morocco, as officially announced on October 8, in collaboration with Royal Resort Cap Malabata, a real estate firm backed by the Bahraini financial group GFH.
The future resort will comprise a total of 99 accommodations, including the aforementioned 27 independent villas. The architectural design is entrusted to Arjitec, while the interior decoration will be handled by the esteemed firm Goddard Littlefair. The complex will also include four restaurants, a spa, a fitness center, and several swimming pools, ensuring a comprehensive luxury experience. Additionally, both indoor and outdoor spaces will be available for private receptions and events, alongside a curated program of activities for children.
A New Jewel in Morocco's Luxury Hospitality Scene
Four Seasons is banking on the strategic location of Cap Malabata, which is about 15 minutes from the Tangier high-speed train station and 45 minutes from Ibn Battouta Airport. This project aims to enhance the high-end hotel offerings in a city that is already a magnet for several major international brands. Ricardo Suarez, the Director of Development for Four Seasons, expressed the group's commitment to creating a resort that reflects the unique character of Tangier in an official press release.
This new addition will join the three existing Four Seasons properties in Morocco, located in Marrakech, Casablanca, and Rabat. With this development, Tangier is solidifying its position in the prestigious tourism market, where some of the city’s establishments are already gaining international recognition.
