The automotive manufacturer GAC has officially made its debut in the Moroccan market through an exclusive partnership with M-AUTOMOTIV, which has become its sole importer and distributor. Established in 1997, the Chinese manufacturer offers a diverse range of vehicles across various segments, including thermal, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. Following a pre-launch phase marked by the presentation of several models, GAC has already opened two commercial establishments in Casablanca and Tangier. In Morocco, GAC's entry is characterized by three brands that correspond to different levels of offerings. GAC serves as the core of the lineup, featuring vehicles designed for various uses and multiple types of powertrains. AION focuses on electric mobility, while HYPTEC is aimed at higher-end vehicles, equipped with advanced technologies and enhanced performance.

The official launch of GAC coincides with the introduction of HYPTEC to the Moroccan market. This brand encompasses the premium and electrified models of the manufacturer, featuring an offering that combines electric powertrains, performance, and onboard technologies. Key developments focus on energy management, driving dynamics, and intelligent systems integrated into the vehicles.
One standout model in the HYPTEC lineup is the HYPTEC HT, a premium electric SUV that generates 340 horsepower and boasts a range of up to 620 kilometers according to the NEDC cycle. It features gullwing rear doors, Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated and massaging front seats, and a Dolby Atmos 7.1.2 audio system. Additionally, it includes level 2 driver assistance technologies.
Another noteworthy model is the HYPTEC Hyper SSR, a fully electric hypercar that delivers an astonishing 1,224 horsepower from three high-performance electric motors, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds. Its design includes a carbon fiber body, electric butterfly doors, a carbon-ceramic braking system, and a cockpit inspired by Formula 1. This model has also made international headlines by setting a Guinness World Record for a drift at 213 km/h in a fully electric vehicle.
Expanding Vehicle Offerings and Commercial Network
The GAC lineup also features the GAC GN8, a seven-seat plug-in hybrid minivan that produces 373 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque, with a combined range of up to 1,032 kilometers based on the WLTC cycle. Emphasizing comfort and space, the GN8 is equipped with heated, ventilated, and massaging Business Class seats, Nappa leather upholstery, electric rear side doors, and a 15.6-inch entertainment screen for second-row passengers. The vehicle also boasts 15 ADAS driver assistance systems and a variable electromagnetic suspension designed to optimize comfort and stability.
During its pre-launch phase in Morocco, GAC had already showcased several models tailored for diverse uses, from city driving to family transportation and long-distance travel. The GAC EMZOOM is a compact urban SUV powered by a 177-horsepower turbo gasoline engine, equipped with connectivity features and driver assistance technologies. Similarly, the GAC EMKOO is a self-recharging compact hybrid SUV generating 235 horsepower, with an impressive fuel consumption of 4.8 liters per 100 kilometers, designed for daily commutes while prioritizing versatility and comfort.
Completing this offering is the GAC S7, a plug-in hybrid family SUV capable of producing up to 500 horsepower and 613 Nm of torque. Positioned as the flagship model, it stands out with its spacious interior, 720-liter trunk, and advanced safety and driving assistance technologies.
