GITEX Africa 2026 in Marrakech: The Fourth Edition Puts Africa at the Forefront of Artificial Intelligence

The vibrant city of Marrakech is gearing up to host the fourth edition of GITEX Africa 2026, the most significant technological event on the African continent, scheduled to take place from April 7 to 9, 2026. This prestigious event will be held under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and is organized by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.

Morocco's hosting of GITEX Africa 2026, in collaboration with KAOUN International, a subsidiary of the Dubai World Trade Centre, signifies the nation's commitment to securing a prominent global position in the fields of digitization and innovation.

This year's exhibition will bring together decision-makers from both the public and private sectors, industrial leaders, startup entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and international technology stakeholders representing 130 countries from around the globe. The focus will be on establishing responsible artificial intelligence infrastructure across Africa, developing digital public policies, and accelerating the widespread adoption of high-impact digital solutions.

The event's agenda revolves around three main themes. The first theme addresses artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, showcasing the latest digital solutions and technologies related to data protection. The second theme pertains to cloud computing, which is fundamental to the digital transformation of the African continent. Cloud services, including servers, storage, databases, and software, will be provided on a pay-as-you-go basis, thus offering flexibility, rapid innovation, and reduced infrastructure costs accessible from any location and device.

The third theme focuses on specialized technology sectors, prominently featuring Future Mobility. This segment will highlight innovations in electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as technologies relevant to transportation management and urban mobility, presented by international companies.

One of the most notable initiatives at this year's exhibition is the launch of the Morocco 300 program, overseen by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform in partnership with the Digital Development Agency. This initiative aims to support 300 startups with funding of up to 95%, a significant increase from the previous editions, which supported only 200 companies.
