The economic promotion week for Guinea-Bissau was officially inaugurated on Monday in Rabat, Morocco, with the primary objective of showcasing the nation’s diverse economic potential across multiple sectors. This initiative aims to cultivate mutually beneficial business partnerships between Moroccan and Bissau-Guinean entrepreneurs, thereby enhancing economic collaboration and investment opportunities. Showcasing Guinea-Bissau's Economic Potential
The program for the economic promotion week includes a series of strategic meetings in key cities such as Rabat, Casablanca, and Dakhla, engaging with public institutions and private economic stakeholders. Among the participants are notable organizations including the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), sectoral federations, the Professional Group of Moroccan Banks (GPBM), and Casablanca Finance City (CFC), along with its corporate ecosystem, as well as the Regional Investment Center (CRI) of Dakhla. These engagements are designed to highlight Guinea-Bissau’s economic potential and its critical sectors ripe for investment, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, energy, tourism, and financial services.
This initiative is part of broader efforts by the Moroccan Foreign Ministry to bolster the Kingdom's economic diplomacy on an international scale, facilitated through collaborations with AMCI and its partners, including CGEM, GPBM, CFC, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE).
