Health Alert: Recall of Bakery Products from Boulangerie Pâtisserie Casablanca

Important Recall Notice from MAPAQ

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), in collaboration with Boulangerie Pâtisserie Casablanca, located at 3840 Notre-Dame Boulevard in Laval, has issued a public warning advising residents not to consume the bakery products listed below. These items were not prepared, packaged, or stored in a manner that ensures their safety for consumption.

The following products are affected by this recall:

  • Bakery Products: All units sold, regardless of format, until May 6, 2026.
  • Patisserie Products: All units sold, regardless of format, until May 6, 2026.
  • Khlili: All formats sold in glass jars, available until May 6, 2026.

The recalled products were available for sale until May 6, 2026, exclusively at the aforementioned establishment. The bakery and pastry items were sold over the counter and packaged upon request. The khlii, sold in glass jars, was also available at the counter without labeling.

As a precautionary measure, the operator is recalling these products and has agreed with the ministry to disseminate this warning. Consumers who possess any of these products are advised not to consume them. They should return the items to the establishment where they were purchased or discard them. Even if the products show no signs of spoilage or unusual odor, consumption may pose health risks.

Those experiencing symptoms related to the consumption of these products are encouraged to consult a healthcare professional. To date, MAPAQ has not received any reports of illness associated with the consumption of these foods.
