Severe Heatwave Forecast Across Multiple Regions

Beginning today, Sunday, and continuing through Tuesday, a significant heatwave is poised to affect various regions of the country, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology. An orange vigilance alert has been issued, indicating that temperatures are expected to soar between 45 and 47 degrees Celsius in the provinces of Oued Ed-Dahab, Assa-Zag, Smara, Tata, Taroudant, Zagora, Errachidia, Oussard, and Boujdour.

Additionally, temperatures ranging from 42 to 45 degrees are anticipated from today through Tuesday in Marrakech, Beni Mellal, Fkih Ben Salah, and Qalaat Sraghna. The meteorological authority has also highlighted that several other provinces will experience hot weather conditions with temperatures reaching between 42 and 45 degrees from today until tomorrow, incorporating areas such as Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, Rhamna, El Youssoufia, Khénifra, Taourirt, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Jerada, Taza, Laâyoune, Tarfaya, Guelmim, and Tan-Tan.

Moreover, temperatures are expected to range between 39 and 42 degrees during the same period in regions including Sidi Bennour, Chtouka Ait Baha, Inzegane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Essaouira, Driouch, Nador, Oujda Angad, and Safi. The public is advised to take necessary precautions during this extreme weather to ensure safety and well-being.
