International Healthcare Training Conference Set to Transform Medical Education
From March 26 to 28, 2026, the International University of Rabat will host the 5th edition of the Healthcare Training International Conference (HTIC 2026), organized by Morocco Sim, the Moroccan Society of Health Simulation. The inaugural session took place on March 25, featuring esteemed governmental and academic figures. This year's edition is marked by its ambitious scope, as HTIC 2026 is paired with three unprecedented scientific events held concurrently: the first Pan-Arab Congress on Health Simulation (Mohakate 2026), the inaugural International Congress for Simulation Technicians (SimTech 2026), and HackMed 2026, the first hackathon dedicated to innovation in medical education.
In total, over fifteen scientific tracks will occur simultaneously, blending conferences, practical workshops, and technological demonstrations. The scientific program will focus on the role of simulation in reforming medical education, digital health, immersive technologies, and pedagogy enhanced by artificial intelligence. More than fifty international experts are expected to attend, alongside representatives from fourteen scholarly societies specializing in health simulation. The event anticipates participation from several hundred professionals across more than twenty-five countries, including doctors, pharmacists, nurses, biomedical engineers, and health science students.
For Morocco Sim and the International University of Rabat, the stakes extend beyond merely hosting an event; they aim to establish Morocco as a sustainable regional and international reference point in a rapidly evolving field, especially as medical training is being redefined by digital advancements and artificial intelligence.
