Inauguration of the New DGSN Headquarters Scheduled for May 16, 2026 in Rabat

Upcoming Inauguration of the New DGSN Headquarters

The new headquarters of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in Rabat, which has been under construction since 2019, is set to be inaugurated on May 16, 2026. This significant event coincides with the 70th anniversary of the DGSN, marking a milestone in the modernization efforts of Morocco's national police force.

The initiative to build this new facility was launched by King Mohammed VI, aiming to enhance the operational capabilities and overall infrastructure of the DGSN. With an estimated cost of around 2 billion Moroccan Dirhams, the project reflects the royal directives articulated during the Throne Speech on July 30, 2016, which emphasized the necessity for sufficient human and financial resources to fulfill the institution's mandates.

A Modern Complex for National Security

Spanning an area of 20 hectares in Hay Riyad, the new DGSN headquarters will feature an integrated and modern administrative complex that houses the main departments and central services of national security. Among its key facilities is a conference hall with a capacity of 1,200 seats, designed to host various events and meetings.

In addition to the main administrative functions, the complex will include several complementary infrastructures such as a national security museum that chronicles the history of the institution, an archive center, a space for sports activities, a data identity registration and national card production center, a reserve forces accommodation center, an IT center, and a parking lot capable of accommodating 1,500 vehicles. This development represents a significant step forward in enhancing the efficiency and responsiveness of Morocco's national security apparatus.
