ITAF 2026: A Pivotal Event for African Industry
From September 29 to October 1, Casablanca is hosting the inaugural edition of Industrial Transformation Africa (ITAF) 2026, held at the Casablanca Fair and Exhibition Office (OFEC). This significant event, themed "Connecting Africa’s Industries, Creating Tomorrow," brings together industry leaders, technology providers, investors, and decision-makers to discuss the evolution of the manufacturing sector in Africa. The first African edition of ITAF is integrated into the global HANNOVER MESSE ecosystem, aiming to connect African enterprises with the latest innovations and international industrial expertise, particularly in automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital production.
The exhibition showcases a diverse array of companies specializing in various fields, including robotics, automation, smart logistics, drive systems, and energy solutions. Notable premium partners include Siemens, Festo, KUKA, Universal Robots, ifm electronic, Wilo, and OCP Maintenance Solutions. Furthermore, a designated "Team Germany" space, developed in collaboration with AHK Morocco, GIZ, Fraunhofer, and KfW, highlights German technologies, applied research, and sustainable industrial solutions.
Strengthening Regional Industrial Capacity
In addition to the exhibition, the Industrial Edge Summit presents three days of conferences focused on critical topics such as artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, industrial connectivity, cybersecurity, the Industrial Internet of Things, and human capital. The opening day features a keynote address by Mounir Kharbouche, Vice President at Stellantis, sharing insights on the group's experience with Industry 4.0.
The event is also designed to enhance trade interactions, with nearly 70 qualified industrial buyers and decision-makers participating in the Hosted Buyer program and B2B matchmaking platform. These participants represent various markets across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, aiming to facilitate exchanges regarding sourcing, distribution, technological partnerships, and industrial investments.
Casablanca was chosen for this event due to Morocco's strong industrial positioning, particularly in the automotive, aerospace, electronics, and agribusiness sectors, alongside its advanced logistics infrastructure and connections to international markets. Organized in partnership with Smart Expos & Events Morocco, this inaugural edition also benefits from strategic partnerships with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), AMCA, and GMAI. The initiative seeks to align the needs of African industrialists with international technological solutions and promote sustainable cooperation.
