Renowned Culinary Expert Takes the Helm at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech

Jean-Denis Rieubland, a distinguished French chef recognized as the Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2007, has been appointed as the Executive Chef at the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech. With a wealth of experience in the culinary world, Rieubland will oversee the resort's entire culinary offerings, bringing a fresh vision to its diverse dining experiences.

A member of the Four Seasons group since 2004, Rieubland began his journey at the Domaine de Terre Blanche. His recent appointment in Marrakech marks a significant milestone in a career that has traversed numerous prestigious French establishments and has been enriched by international experience across various culinary landscapes.

Originally from Agen, Rieubland honed his skills at the Lycée Paul Augier in Nice before embarking on a remarkable career. He has worked in acclaimed venues such as La Tour d’Argent in Paris, Le Carlton in Cannes, Le Mas Candille in Mougins, and La Villa Florentine in Lyon. His professional path has also taken him to culinary hotspots like Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Chicago, Istanbul, and Miami.

For over a decade, Rieubland led the kitchens at the renowned Negresco in Nice, where he successfully maintained two Michelin stars. He later played a pivotal role in the launch of the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa, which achieved its first Michelin star in its inaugural year.

At the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech, Rieubland will be responsible for evolving the culinary identities of various dining venues, including Zest Rooftop Lounge, Quattro Restaurant & Bar, Azzera Restaurant & Bar, and Inara Restaurant & Lounge. Each venue will retain its unique positioning, with Zest offering Asian-inspired cuisine, Quattro showcasing Mediterranean influences, Azzera enhancing the poolside experience, and Inara presenting a contemporary take on Moroccan cuisine.

In addition to overseeing the restaurants, the new Executive Chef will also manage breakfast services, events, and private receptions held at the resort. His culinary philosophy emphasizes the use of seasonal ingredients, local Moroccan produce, and a harmonious balance between technical precision and simplicity.

Rieubland aims to seamlessly integrate this new chapter into his career by adapting his extensive experience to the distinctive spaces of the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech while responding to the evolving local culinary scene. With this appointment, the resort continues to enhance its culinary offerings under the guidance of an experienced chef, known for his tenure in various Michelin-starred establishments both in France and internationally.
