Your Daily Missions

The Production team plays a crucial role in ensuring the End-to-End (E2E) production of our pricing platforms, providing top-notch support and analysis to users globally, which includes Trading, Engineering, Sales, and Risk Management teams. This team guarantees the effective utilization of pricing methodologies and services offered by Research and Development (R&D).

Located in Casablanca within the SG Africa Technologies & Services (SG ATS) subsidiary, this role will involve close collaboration with various teams including Research & Development (Quants/DEV/QA/OPS), partners, and other IT departments within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), as well as our clients in Trading, Finance, and Risk Management. The primary focus will be on monitoring the operational efficiency of our pricing libraries in Production and the ecosystem that hosts them. You will be responsible for managing daily production incidents and providing necessary support to users.

The R&D applications represent over 25 years of CPU time, efficiently completed in a matter of hours by distributing calculations across an internal grid, public cloud, or green computing solutions. Daily, we serve over 6 million pricing requests, peaking at 20,000 requests per minute, with a service availability exceeding 99%.

As a Production Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting users of our pricing tools and providing solutions/workarounds to ensure business continuity.
  • Offering Level 2 support to users across various regions (EU, US & HK) and business assets (FX, Rates & Credit).
  • Monitoring different business processes such as PnL, XVA, CCR, FRTB, VAR, and understanding the functioning of various chains.
  • Engaging with the front office to address their queries: conducting functional investigations, ensuring the consistency of figures provided by our pricing tools, and understanding the nature of any pricing errors.
  • Initially focusing on investigating functional incidents related to pricing, but also extending to technical incident investigations when necessary (API, Database).
  • Collaborating with other FTS support teams in Bangalore and Montreal to maintain production stability and efficiently respond to client requests.
  • Escalating incidents to Level 3 teams (DEV, Quant, Ops) and tracking the progress of investigations while regularly communicating updates to our clients.
  • Writing and enhancing troubleshooting documents and enriching procedures to facilitate future investigations.
  • Initiating and facilitating post-incident review processes (PIRs) and developing strategies to anticipate future occurrences and enhance the robustness of our pricing tools.
  • Ensuring compliance with incident and problem management procedures, keeping them updated according to Group standards.
  • Fostering a culture of sharing and collaboration within the team and maintaining a positive dynamic with colleagues in line with Group values.
  • Being available for weekend or holiday on-call duties as needed.
