JYSK Expands Its Presence in Morocco with New Store Opening in Rabat

JYSK Opens Its First Store in Rabat

In a significant move to bolster its territorial footprint, JYSK, the renowned Danish furniture and home décor brand, has officially inaugurated its first store in Rabat, located within the Mall du Carrousel. This opening, which took place in April 2025, marks a pivotal moment in JYSK's expansion journey in Morocco. According to JYSK, the decision to establish a presence in Rabat is a natural progression in its growth strategy within the country. Igor Raić, the General Director of JYSK, expressed enthusiasm about the new location, stating, "Rabat represents an important step in our development in Morocco. This opening brings us closer to our customers and allows them to experience the shopping standards that JYSK is known for internationally. We are excited to welcome the customers of Rabat to this new store and continue our growth in the Kingdom."

Store Features and Future Ambitions

The newly opened store spans an impressive 800 square meters and has been designed in line with JYSK’s international concept, JYSK 3.0. The layout is meticulously crafted to enhance the customer experience, facilitating the exploration of various collections while providing a clear understanding of the different home décor environments. It allows customers to envision how JYSK products can fit into their own living spaces. The store is staffed by a dedicated team of 10 to 12 employees, further reflecting JYSK's commitment to creating local job opportunities.

This opening follows the successful launch of three stores in Casablanca and the first store in Tangier, and it highlights JYSK's continued efforts to establish its presence across Morocco. With this latest addition, JYSK now employs nearly 100 staff members in the country and has ambitious plans to increase this number to over 150 as it expands further.
