In a significant advancement of bilateral relations, Kenya and Morocco have formalized 11 instruments of cooperation aimed at enhancing collaboration in several crucial strategic sectors. This landmark agreement was reached during the inaugural ministerial session of the Kenya–Morocco Joint Commission of Cooperation. The areas of cooperation encompass a variety of fields, including agriculture, justice, health, fisheries and aquaculture, gender equality, women's empowerment, cultural exchange, higher education, scholarships, internships, expertise sharing, sports, immigration, and wildlife management.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi emphasized that these new agreements build upon the foundation laid by the five Memoranda of Understanding previously signed on May 27, 2025, during his official visit to Rabat, Morocco. This visit was made at the invitation of Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation of Morocco, underscoring the commitment of both nations to foster deeper ties and collaboration across multiple sectors.
