Ladies European Tour Qualifying School to Make Historic Debut in Thailand
In an exciting development for golf enthusiasts, the Ladies European Tour (LET) Qualifying School is set to make its inaugural visit to Thailand, hosting a Pre-Qualifier at the renowned Lotus Valley Golf Resort in Bangkok from November 18 to 20, 2026. This event marks a significant milestone as it provides players from the Asia-Pacific region with enhanced accessibility to the qualifying process, with a maximum field size capped at 120 participants. The Lotus Valley course, which opened in 2008, is a par-72 layout designed by the legendary South African golfer Gary Player and is widely regarded as one of Thailand's premier golfing destinations.
Players interested in participating must submit their entries through the LET App by October 12 at 5:00 PM UK time. Comprehensive details regarding the event and a link for downloading the App can be accessed via the LET website's Q-School page. This new addition to the LET's calendar not only amplifies opportunities for aspiring golfers from the region but also reflects the growing popularity and inclusivity of women's golf.
Among the notable figures in the Thai golfing community, world number two Jeeno Thitikul, a celebrated five-time LET winner, expressed her enthusiasm about the upcoming event. Having transitioned from the LET to qualifying for the LPGA, Thitikul reminisces about her experiences, stating, "I really enjoyed my time on the LET, traveling the world, making new friends, and experiencing life on Tour. The standard on the LET is getting better every single year, and it’s great to see more and more Thai players join." Her sentiments echo the excitement surrounding the increasing quality and competitiveness of the Tour.
In addition to the Thailand Pre-Qualifier, the LET will also host the Lalla Aicha Pre-Qualifier in Marrakech, Morocco, from December 10 to 12, featuring four venues. Following this, the final Qualifying School will also take place in Morocco from December 16 to 20, further showcasing the LET's commitment to expanding its reach and providing opportunities to female golfers around the globe.
