Official Inauguration of the Morocco Digital Citizenship Association

On January 24, 2026, the Morocco Digital Citizenship Association was officially inaugurated during its founding assembly in Rabat. This new organization aims to support the digital transformation in Morocco by placing citizens at the heart of its initiatives. The focus is on promoting digital inclusion, building trust in digital environments, and enhancing skill development among the populace.

The association acknowledges the increasing role of digital technologies in public policies and their significant impact on development models. It emphasizes the necessity of strengthening the associative fabric to address these critical issues. Through its various missions, the association seeks to foster a culture of digital citizenship, bolster confidence in the digital environment, and assist citizens in acquiring essential digital skills. Additionally, it aims to engage in the national digital transformation movement by drawing inspiration from innovative experiences both locally and globally.

Strategic Objectives and Leadership

To achieve its goals, the association plans to implement close support services, awareness campaigns, effective communication, and research initiatives. It will also focus on cultivating partnerships with various stakeholders. Organizationally, the association intends to establish a digital transformation policy, adopt a quality charter governing its areas of intervention, and implement a results-based management system to evaluate its impact.

Leading the association is Slimane Elomrani, a well-known political activist who has now turned his attention to associative work. For its inaugural event, the association will host Dr. Ahmed Khaouja, a recognized expert and member of the ANRT board, for a conference on digital resilience. This event is set to take place on May 20, 2026, at 9 PM via the Zoom platform.
