L'Boulevard 2026: A Celebration of Music and Accessibility
With a legacy spanning twenty-four editions, the L'Boulevard festival continues to uphold its core values of remaining free, accessible, and alternative. Scheduled to take place from September 17 to 20 at the R.U.C stadium in Casablanca, this year’s festival promises to maintain its unique identity in an ever-evolving festival landscape.
Co-founder Mohamed Merhari, affectionately known as Momo, emphasizes the festival's commitment to staying true to its roots. "We are resolutely alternative, and we do everything to remain so," he asserts. As the festival approaches its 24th edition, it refrains from drastically altering a formula that has been carefully crafted over the years. "There aren’t any significant changes. We have a festival that has found a rhythm that we like. Four days is just right for us," he explains during a press conference held on September 2 in Casablanca.
This year's event will feature a diverse lineup over four days, showcasing over thirty groups across various genres. The opening day, September 17, will focus on rap and hip-hop, featuring artists such as Bo9al, Figoshin, and headliner Dizzy Dros. The next day will introduce a blend of current music styles, including performances by Rhita Nattah and the Franco-Moroccan psychedelic rock band Bab L’Bluz, alongside Issam Kamal and Mazagan. The festival will culminate on September 19, highlighting one of its most anticipated days with the return of metal music, featuring acts like Suicide Machine and the iconic Brazilian thrash metal band, Sepultura.
