Libya and Morocco Forge Economic Ties Through New MoU

The Libyan Export Development Authority (LEDA) and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) have taken a significant step towards strengthening economic relations by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Rabat, Morocco. This strategic agreement is designed to enhance cooperation in trade and investment, laying the groundwork for collaborative initiatives that will benefit both nations.

Signed by Mohamed Al-Hangari, the Chairman of LEDA, and Ali Al-Siddiqi, the Director General of AMDIE, the MoU was witnessed by a representative from the Libyan Embassy in Morocco, along with the Director of LEDA's International Cooperation Office. This partnership symbolizes a mutual commitment to bolster economic engagement and trade facilitation between Libya and Morocco.

The objectives outlined in the memorandum include supporting businesses in both countries, organizing trade fairs, missions, and economic forums, and facilitating the exchange of pertinent information and studies related to trade and investment. These measures aim to create a robust framework for trade exchange, thereby opening new avenues for exports and investments.

LEDA emphasizes that this agreement is part of a broader initiative to enhance cooperation opportunities between Libyan and Moroccan institutions and enterprises, ultimately contributing to a greater economic landscape in the region. This collaborative effort is expected to yield significant benefits, fostering a conducive environment for trade and investment growth.
