Major Expansion of Bouskoura-Casablanca Road Set for November Completion

Significant Infrastructure Development Underway

The ambitious project to triple the provincial road connecting Bouskoura to Casablanca is currently making substantial progress, with nearly 40% of the work completed. This initiative, backed by a strategic institutional partnership and financed with over 590 million dirhams, aims to alleviate congestion on this vital transportation route while enhancing mobility in the region. The project is expected to be fully completed by November, with the first segment scheduled for delivery in April.

Spanning more than five kilometers, the expansion of Road 3011 (RP3011), which links Bouskoura to Casablanca, is being executed at a commendable pace. Abdelkrim El Maliki, the president of the Bouskoura municipal council, emphasizes that this development will significantly improve traffic flow on a route heavily utilized by commuters traveling from the southern outskirts of Casablanca to the economic center.

The local development company, Nouaceur Développement, is overseeing the project, which involves multiple institutional stakeholders. Funding for the project comes from several sources, including the Bouskoura municipality (260 million dirhams), the Casablanca-Settat regional council (150 million dirhams), the Ministry of the Interior (100 million dirhams), and the Ministry of Equipment and Water (80 million dirhams).

Comprehensive Urban Improvements Included

Beyond merely widening the roadway, the project incorporates a range of urban enhancements designed to improve the living conditions of local residents and ensure the safety of all road users. Planned developments include the installation of sidewalks, the creation of green spaces, sports trails, recreational areas, parking facilities, and public lighting systems. Additionally, the project involves the rehabilitation and relocation of existing utility networks, including telecommunications, electricity, wastewater management, and drinking water supply infrastructures.

This initiative is part of a broader program aimed at upgrading transportation infrastructure connecting the Ain Chock district with the Nouaceur province, ultimately contributing to the overall enhancement of urban mobility in Casablanca.
