Major Police Operation in Marrakech Leads to Arrests for Alleged Corruption and Prostitution

The online Moroccan news channel, Neshan Now, has reported significant developments following a police operation conducted by the anti-gang unit of the Marrakech Security Directorate. Early on the morning of Friday, May 29, law enforcement executed a security operation targeting a series of apartments located on Mohammed VI Street. This operation resulted in the arrest of eight couples, amounting to 16 individuals, who are suspected of involvement in activities related to corruption and the establishment of a prostitution ring.

According to informed sources, this operation was initiated based on precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance. This intelligence allowed authorities to identify the location of the implicated apartment and to monitor the suspicious activities transpiring within its confines.

The police commenced their raid on the apartments after fulfilling all necessary legal procedures. Upon entering the premises, they apprehended the individuals in question, subsequently transporting them to the relevant security office for further investigation and questioning.

The detained suspects are currently held under judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecutor's office. This investigation aims to uncover all circumstances and details surrounding the case, as well as to pinpoint the criminal actions attributed to each suspect and to explore any potential extensions of this illicit activity.
