He emphasized the club's intention to maintain a competitive squad, suggesting that they wouldn't proceed with any transfer unless they could find a suitable replacement.

Létang also revealed that Bouaddi himself has no immediate desire to leave Lille. "We are in regular contact with Ayyoub. He is not in a rush to depart and is very much interested in staying. At 18, with the opportunity to play a significant number of matches at a club like LOSC, including in the Champions League, one naturally wonders: Why should I leave now?" With a rumored transfer fee close to €100 million, this question may soon take on an entirely new significance as Manchester City appears ready to invest heavily in Bouaddi's talent.
