The Marrakech Court of First Instance has recently handed down a significant ruling against the well-known content creator, 'Kalamour'. On August 17, 2026, the court sentenced her to ten months of imprisonment and imposed a fine of 500 dirhams. Additionally, she has been banned from using social media platforms for a period of three years. This ruling comes in the wake of her initial trial session, during which she was presented in court while in custody, having been detained at the local Aouda prison in connection with a case tied to content she shared on digital platforms.

The public prosecutor's office decided to pursue charges against her for actions deemed as public indecency, following the dissemination of videos and excerpts from a live broadcast that were considered to contravene public morals. The authorities had apprehended her at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca while she was attempting to leave the country, based on coordination with the Marrakech security services. Following her arrest, she was subjected to judicial investigation and subsequently referred to the public prosecutor’s office, which opted to proceed with charges while she remained in custody.

This ruling from the Marrakech Court of First Instance serves to address the allegations against her and outlines the penalties that have been legally prescribed, including both imprisonment and a fine, alongside the considerable restriction of her social media privileges for three years.
