Marrakech: A Bar Manager's Arrest for Alcohol Smuggling
In a surprising turn of events, a bar manager known by the nickname "Al-Hajja" was apprehended on Monday evening in Marrakech while transporting a significant quantity of alcohol. The individual attempted to evade police detection by concealing the beverages under a religious garment, indicating a calculated effort to deceive law enforcement officers.
The arrest took place on Mohammed VI Avenue, where traffic police discovered the illicit cargo hidden within the suspect's personal vehicle. "Al-Hajja," who operates a bar on the outskirts of the city, was subsequently taken to the local police station for questioning as part of an official investigation.
Initial findings from the investigation suggest that the bar manager sourced her stock from a licensed store in the city center, aiming to maintain a steady supply. In a bid to avoid attracting attention during her transport, she is believed to have donned a hijab as a means of camouflage, showcasing both ingenuity and the lengths to which she was willing to go to carry out her operations.
