Major Renovation Plans for Marrakech's Grand Stadium

The National Agency for Public Equipment (ANEP) has officially announced the launch of a tender for the extensive renovation of the Grand Stadium in Marrakech, with a budget allocation of 883 million Moroccan dirhams (MDH). This ambitious project aims to elevate the stadium's facilities to meet FIFA standards as the nation prepares to host the 2030 World Cup.

Scheduled for completion within 15 months, this initial phase of construction will encompass both structural work and finishing touches, including flooring, carpentry, and painting. A significant aspect of this renovation includes the removal of the existing athletics track and an increase in the stadium's seating capacity, ensuring that it can accommodate a larger audience during the prestigious tournament.

Renovation Details and Project Management

The design of the renovation has been entrusted to architect Sad Benkirane, with technical oversight provided by Egis Group and Luseo France. Socotec has been appointed to oversee the construction works, ensuring that all renovations adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Companies interested in participating in this project are required to conduct a mandatory site visit on June 1, 2026. The submission of bids will follow a week later, on June 8, 2026, marking a significant step towards transforming the Grand Stadium into a world-class venue.
