Megarama Rabat Launches Innovative LED Screen Technology
In a groundbreaking development for cinema enthusiasts in Morocco, Megarama, in collaboration with GDC, is set to install the first-ever "Tricorne Premium LED" screen at its Rabat complex, located within the Arribat Center. This state-of-the-art installation, which is anticipated to commence operations in early 2027, marks a significant milestone in the evolution of cinematic technology within the region.
The new Tricorne LED screen will enhance the viewing experience by utilizing a pixel pitch of just 3.3 mm, ensuring high-definition visuals that are both vibrant and immersive. One of the standout features of this technology is its acoustic transparency, which allows sound to pass through the screen without distortion, thus maintaining the integrity of the audio experience while enjoying films. This innovation not only elevates the film-watching experience but also integrates seamlessly with the cinema’s existing sound systems.
The Megarama complex in Rabat boasts 11 screening rooms and is equipped to accommodate approximately 1,500 guests, making it one of the premier cinema destinations in the area.
