Morocco Offers Free Flights for Students Admitted to French Schools' Oral Exams

Free Airline Tickets for Moroccan Students Entering French Grandes Écoles

In a significant initiative aimed at supporting Moroccan students, the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Morocco has introduced a program providing free airline tickets for those who have been accepted to oral entrance examinations for prestigious French engineering and business institutions during the 2025-2026 academic year. This initiative is designed to facilitate the educational journey of students who aspire to join leading grandes écoles in France, known for their rigorous academic standards and excellent career prospects.

The program, as detailed in an official announcement, offers round-trip airline tickets to eligible candidates invited to participate in oral exams as part of the selection process for the upcoming academic year. This initiative is specifically aimed at students who are currently enrolled in or have completed their second year in Morocco's preparatory classes for grandes écoles, which prepare students for competitive examinations in higher education.

To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must receive invitations to oral examinations from French schools that are recognized under the Moroccan merit scholarship system. Notably, this includes various business school competitions such as BCE and Ecricome, along with engineering school entrance exams, which include prestigious institutions like X-ENS, Centrale Supélec, Mines-Ponts, CCINP, and ENSAM. For those who are invited to CCINP oral examinations, a minimum average grade of 13.5 out of 20 is a prerequisite.

Students interested in taking advantage of this program must complete a pre-registration process through the preparatory classes portal by June 9 at 2 p.m. Those who have previously submitted their application forms for the French competition must reaffirm their interest in receiving the ministry-funded airline ticket. Access to request the ticket will only be granted once application records have been validated.

The names of pre-registered candidates are set to be published on the e-CPGE platform starting June 10. A selection committee, comprising representatives from various ministry departments and the CPGE Maroc network, will evaluate the candidates based on their school rankings within the scholarship eligibility framework and their written examination results. Those selected will need to confirm their acceptance of the ticket offer within 48 hours of selection. Travel date information must be entered online starting June 17 and at least four working days prior to departure. Electronic tickets will be issued once candidates confirm they have obtained their necessary visas.

Importantly, the ministry has stated that beneficiaries who depart Morocco before the issuance of their tickets may still receive a return ticket from France after they have completed their oral examinations. This program will remain active until the conclusion of the oral exam period, scheduled to end by July 31. Additionally, it is crucial to note that under no circumstances will the airline tickets be reimbursed.
