The Royal Moroccan Armed Forces have successfully placed an order for 50 heavy equipment transport trucks and an additional 50 heavy trailers from Oshkosh Defense, as announced by the company in a statement released recently. This significant contract was facilitated through their exclusive distributor in Morocco, Optimum Vehicle Logistics, and includes essential spare parts, service provisions, and training for operational efficiency.
The initial batch of HET A1 trucks has already been delivered and is currently in service with the Moroccan military. These robust vehicles are specifically designed to transport heavy military equipment, including tanks, recovery vehicles, and self-propelled artillery, thereby enhancing the country’s operational capabilities in various terrains and conditions.
Furthermore, the MN573 trailers are a product of a collaborative effort with the Dutch company Broshuis B.V., which specializes in manufacturing trailers for international clients across several sectors. Pat Williams, the program director at Oshkosh Defense, highlighted that this additional order reflects a growing demand for their transportation solutions in military applications. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Optimum Vehicle Logistics provides U.S.-made military vehicles and logistical equipment to armed forces worldwide, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest technology and support.
Broshuis, established in 1885, operates from a state-of-the-art facility spanning 140,000 square meters, producing not only military trailers but also vehicles for agriculture, construction, infrastructure, and wind energy sectors, thus showcasing their versatility and commitment to quality.
