Strategic Vision for the Future

The Executive Committee of the Independence Party has expressed its appreciation for the royal speech delivered by King Mohammed VI to the members of Parliament on the occasion of the opening of the new legislative year. The party views this address as a guiding framework for the strategic directions of the upcoming phase, emphasizing the importance of continuing the modernization of the state and the economy while enhancing rights and dignity. The committee highlighted the need for a balanced approach to economic growth that does not compromise social and spatial justice.

Furthermore, the party commended the king's vision aimed at strengthening the strategic sovereignty of Morocco and addressing geopolitical economic challenges. This can be achieved through the development of comprehensive strategies in crucial areas such as water, energy, and food security, industrial recovery, digital economy, artificial intelligence, and the safeguarding of strategic reserves and essential materials. The party underscored the necessity of enhancing the private sector's role in investment, innovation, exportation, and job creation to bolster the competitiveness of the national economy and its resilience in the face of crises.

Social and International Relations

On the social front, the committee praised the royal attention given to youth-related issues, urging the establishment of an integrated public policy that guarantees quality education, appropriate training, and broader opportunities for economic integration and social mobility. Such measures are essential for restoring trust in political work and elected institutions. The committee also asserted that the success of advanced regionalization and administrative decentralization requires the transfer of powers and financial and human resources to regional authorities, as well as enhanced coordination between central government and decentralized services, aimed at improving public services and achieving regional development that meets citizens' needs.

In terms of foreign relations, the committee applauded Morocco's achievements in reinforcing its international standing and consolidating its territorial integrity. It reaffirmed its support for the royal vision of building strategic partnerships based on shared interests. In this context, the committee criticized Spain's handling of migration events in Ceuta, rejecting the notion of reducing Morocco's role to merely guarding the borders between Africa and Europe. Instead, it called for the establishment of a new generation of Moroccan-Spanish cooperation grounded in economic development, trust, and mutual respect, free from pressures and blackmail.

The Executive Committee concluded its statement by affirming the Independence Party's commitment, through its new parliamentary team, to successfully implement the kingdom's strategic choices and to engage in responsible parliamentary practices that reflect political commitments to citizens and contribute to ongoing reforms and strengthening trust in institutions.
