This facility, complemented by a second region to ensure service continuity hosted by N+ONE Datacenters, provides local players with cutting-edge computing, analytical, and AI capabilities. Regulatory Enhancements and Sovereignty
The expansion of cloud infrastructure is accompanied by a comprehensive overhaul of the regulatory framework. Through Decree No. 2-24-921 and a stringent qualification framework published in 2025, Morocco is imposing heightened cybersecurity, governance, and risk management requirements on providers of vital importance organizations. While Africa currently accounts for only 0.6% of the world’s data center capacity, ongoing projects could raise its total capacity to nearly 1.2 gigawatts by the end of the decade, supported by substantial financial investments. For Morocco, which has established an ambitious AI strategy aimed at generating an additional 100 billion dirhams in GDP by 2030, mastering this entire digital value chain is now a key lever for its future competitiveness.
