Morocco Unveils Hospitality Village at Marrakech Airport to Enhance Visitor Experience

Introducing the Hospitality Village at Marrakech Airport

A new initiative, dubbed the "Hospitality Village," has been established at Marrakech Menara International Airport, aiming to immerse travelers in the essence of Moroccan hospitality right from the moment they arrive. This endeavor seeks to transform the initial encounter with the kingdom into a remarkable experience characterized by warmth, shared values, and attentive care for visitors and tourists alike.

This initiative, organized by the National Federation of Tourist Transport, is part of the third edition of the Hospitality Celebration Week, designed to enhance Morocco's image as a warm, authentic, and globally open tourist destination. Located near the entrance of the airport, the village serves as a genuine showcase of Morocco's hospitality skills, ensuring that visitors receive a welcoming reception that reflects the rich traditions of Moroccan culture.

Celebrating Moroccan Hospitality Through Cultural Exchange

The program of this event includes a warm Moroccan welcome for incoming travelers, highlighting the local traditions that embody hospitality rooted in the country's ancient civilization. The atmosphere created by this initiative has been filled with smiles, generosity, and a heartfelt reception, aligning perfectly with Morocco's esteemed reputation in the hospitality sector.

The event also featured various cultural activities that showcased the richness of national heritage through artistic performances and festive events, allowing visitors to catch a vivid glimpse of Morocco's cultural diversity upon their arrival. In a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, Mohamed Bamnssour, President of the National Federation of Tourist Transport, emphasized that Moroccan hospitality represents a true art of living that is deeply embedded in the national culture. He noted that this value reflects Morocco's identity and enhances the attractiveness of the tourist destination by providing visitors with an authentic human experience from the moment they step foot in the country.

He further explained that this "village" aims to raise awareness among sector professionals, particularly in tourist transport, about the importance of enhancing the quality of the national tourism product by developing competencies and improving professionalism, thus ensuring that all stakeholders who interact directly with travelers are engaged in this mission.

This initiative embodies a collective desire to boost the quality of tourist reception and solidify Marrakech's position as a key gateway for national and international tourism. Bamnssour also mentioned that the third edition of the Hospitality Celebration Week comes at a positive time for the tourism sector, predicting around 20 million visitors by 2025, with revenues reaching 138 billion dirhams, and a direct contribution to the GDP exceeding 7 percent.

In a similar statement, Hayat Cherdili, a manager of a tourist transport company, emphasized that this sector plays a pivotal role in promoting tourism, often serving as the first point of direct contact between visitors and their destinations upon arriving at the airport. She highlighted that tourist transport significantly contributes to the visitor experience and enhances the tourism offering.

In Marrakech, the program for the Hospitality Celebration Week includes several notable events, such as a roundtable discussion on the topic of "Understanding, Transmitting, and Enhancing Moroccan Hospitality in Tourism and Service Professions," featuring experts and professionals. Additionally, there will be a training course aimed at hotel cleaning service management, providing an applied approach to the standards and requirements of the profession.

This event is being launched across various regions of the kingdom by the National Confederation of Tourism, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity, in coordination with professional federations and regional stakeholders, under the slogan "Moroccan Hospitality: From Heritage to Tourism Excellence." This initiative aims to enhance Morocco's image as a distinguished tourist destination and cement the culture of hospitality as one of the key components of the country's tourism and economic appeal.
