National Federation of Dental Manufacturers Calls for Dialogue Amidst Ongoing Challenges

Advocating for the Integrity of the Dental Profession

The National Federation of Dental Manufacturers and Assemblers has expressed its hope to put an end to the attempts to tarnish the reputation of the profession through baseless and repeated complaints aimed at undermining professionals in the field. This plea comes in light of recent court rulings that acquitted several industry professionals of unfounded charges, reiterating the Federation's rejection of the continuous targeting of the profession through unjustified inspections and malicious complaints.

In an official statement, the Federation has called for a responsible and serious dialogue with authorities and all relevant stakeholders to establish clear guidelines for practicing the profession. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of securing a legal environment that protects workers, ensures justice, and promotes the swift regulation of the profession. This effort aims to clarify responsibilities, protect citizens, and maintain the dignity of professionals in the dental field.

Recent Judicial Rulings and Their Significance

The Moroccan Association of Dental Manufacturers and Assemblers recently announced a series of preliminary court rulings from various courts across the country, including Salé, Khemisset, and Qalaat Sraghna, which declared the innocence of professionals in the sector against charges of practicing medicine without a license, impersonation, and fraud.

In this context, the Federation praised the recent judicial decisions, asserting that they reaffirm the independence of the Moroccan judiciary and its respect for the law and established facts. It expressed optimism that these rulings would put an end to the smear campaigns against the profession, which are carried out through repeated malicious complaints that seek to weaken professionals and deter them from fulfilling their duties and defending their rights and achievements.

Furthermore, the Federation reiterated the vital role played by dental manufacturers and assemblers as semi-medical professions in Morocco from the time of the country's independence to the present day. It expressed concern over the ongoing harassment, prosecutions, malicious complaints, and unjustified inspections that lack any legal foundation, which professionals in the sector have been subjected to in various regions of Morocco.
