Addressing the Challenges Facing Dental Professionals
The National Federation of Dental Manufacturers and Assemblers has expressed its desire to put an end to the ongoing attempts to tarnish the reputation of the profession through repeated and malicious complaints aimed at undermining professionals in the field. This statement comes in light of recent judicial rulings that exonerated several sector professionals from unfounded charges. The Federation reiterated its strong opposition to the persistent targeting of the profession via baseless complaints and unjustified inspection campaigns.
In a recent communiqué, the Federation called for a responsible and serious dialogue with authorities and all relevant stakeholders to establish clear guidelines for practicing the profession. They emphasized the need for a legal environment that protects workers and ensures justice by expediting the regulation and organization of the profession. This initiative aims to clarify responsibilities, safeguard citizens, and uphold the dignity of professionals within the sector.
Additionally, the Moroccan Association of Dental Manufacturers and Assemblers announced the issuance of several preliminary court rulings from various courts across the kingdom, including those in Salé, Khemisset, and Qalaat al-Sraghna, which declared the professionals in the sector innocent of charges related to the unlawful practice of medical professions, impersonation, and fraud.
In this context, the Federation praised the recent judicial rulings, which reaffirm the independence of the Moroccan judiciary and its respect for the law and established facts. They expressed hope that these decisions would put an end to the attempts to defame the profession through repeated malicious complaints aimed at weakening professionals and discouraging them from fulfilling their duties and defending their rights and achievements.
Furthermore, the Federation reiterated the vital role that dental manufacturers and assemblers have played as paramedical professions in Morocco since the country’s independence to the present day. They lamented the continued harassment, prosecutions, and baseless complaints, as well as unjustified inspection campaigns lacking any legal foundation, to which professionals in the sector are subjected in various regions of Morocco.
