Dental Technicians Unite Against Misrepresentation
The National Federation of Dental Technicians has expressed its hope to put an end to the ongoing attempts to tarnish the reputation of the profession through malicious and repeated complaints aimed at undermining professionals in the field. This call for action comes in light of recent judgments that acquitted several practitioners in the sector from baseless charges, reaffirming the federation's refusal to accept the incessant targeting of the profession through unjustified inspections and frivolous complaints.
In a statement, the federation advocated for a responsible and serious dialogue with authorities and all stakeholders involved, aiming to establish clear guidelines for practicing the profession. They emphasized the necessity of securing a legal climate that protects workers and enshrines justice by expediting the organization and regulation of the profession. This would ensure clarity in responsibilities, safeguard citizens, and uphold the dignity of professionals.
The Moroccan Association of Dental Technicians previously announced the issuance of several preliminary judicial rulings across various courts in the kingdom, including those in Salé, Khemisset, and Qalaat Seraghna, which declared the practitioners innocent of charges such as illegal practice of medicine, impersonation, and fraud.
In this context, the federation praised the recent judicial rulings, which once again reaffirm the independence of the Moroccan judiciary and its respect for the law and established facts. They expressed hope that these rulings would put an end to attempts to defame the profession through malicious complaints that aim to weaken professionals and dissuade them from performing their duties and defending their rights and achievements.
Furthermore, the federation reiterated the vital role that dental technicians have played as paramedical professionals in Morocco since the country's independence to the present day, expressing regret over the ongoing harassment, prosecutions, and baseless complaints that professionals in the sector face across various regions of Morocco.
