Strengthening Air Connectivity Between France and Morocco
On Sunday, a new direct flight route connecting the French city of Strasbourg with the Moroccan city of Marrakech was officially launched, marking a significant step in enhancing air connectivity between Morocco and France. This service is provided by the low-cost airline easyJet, which aims to facilitate travel between these two vibrant destinations.
The newly established route will operate between Strasbourg-Entzheim Airport and Marrakech Menara Airport, offering two flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays. This schedule is designed to provide travelers with greater ease of access to the picturesque city known as the Red City.
The introduction of this direct flight route is a response to the previous necessity for travelers to make indirect journeys, often involving intermediate airports, which not only lengthened travel times but also increased costs. In this context, the Consul General of Morocco in Strasbourg, Soumya Bouhamidi, highlighted that this new air route represents a promising beginning towards increased cooperation and mobility between the two nations. In her statements to the Moroccan News Agency during the inauguration of this route, she emphasized that this air service will help invigorate economic exchanges and bolster bilateral relations, while also enhancing the tourism appeal of Marrakech, a city that ranks among the world’s premier Moroccan destinations.
