Strategic Leadership Changes in National Police
The General Directorate of National Security in Morocco has announced a series of new appointments aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and responsiveness of its forces. This initiative reflects an internal dynamic designed to infuse fresh talent and experienced professionals into key positions across various cities, including Nador, Marrakech, Agadir, Tikiouine, El Aroui, Safi, Oujda, Laayoune, Casablanca, Beni Mellal, Ben Guerir, Tangier, and Asilah. The initiative also extends to placing two security officers at the helm of the regional intervention unit and the tourism police in the regional security department of Nador, both of which were established to commemorate the Throne Day celebrations. Additionally, the recent appointments involve assigning security personnel to lead other decentralized public security services and administrative police management in cities like Marrakech, El Aroui, Tangier, Beni Mellal, Ben Guerir, Oujda, Casablanca, Laayoune, and Safi. These strategic leadership changes are part of a continuous operational dynamic aimed at boosting the efficiency and productivity of police human resources, fostering rotation in leadership positions, and delegating field management to highly trained and qualified security professionals.
