Preparing for the New Season
The technical team of the Al-Masry football club, led by coach Emad El-Nahhas, is diligently working to integrate new signings into the team as they prepare for their upcoming trip to Morocco. This trip marks the final phase of their preparations for the new season, and the coaching staff aims to ensure that the new players can seamlessly blend with the existing squad.
So far, Al-Masry's management, under the leadership of Kamel Abou Ali, has officially completed the signing of six new players during the current summer transfer window. The new recruits include Moroccan striker Abdullah Al-Ziyani from Hassania Agadir, who has signed a four-year contract, Mustafa Al-Ash from Al-Ahly, also on a four-year deal, and Yassine Al-Mallah, who joins from Pharco on a similar term. Additionally, Mohamed Shokri has transferred from Al-Ahly for four years, while Mohamed Ahmed Sayha joins on a one-season loan from Al-Ahly. Lastly, Algerian player Kheir Eddine Tola has been signed from ES Sétif on a four-year contract.
Training Camp in Morocco
As part of their preparations, Al-Masry’s administrative team is in the process of securing the necessary visas for both the team and coaching staff for their training camp in Morocco, which is scheduled for August. Coach Emad El-Nahhas is eager to arrange a series of friendly matches to evaluate the players' performance and readiness for the challenges ahead.
The team has been in training for approximately four weeks, starting at the Marine Academy in Port Fouad for the initial phase, which lasted about ten days. They then moved to Cairo for a closed camp lasting a week, focusing on physical assessments and gym training to enhance the players' fitness levels before heading into a series of friendly matches in Ismailia to gauge the team's capabilities.
In a strategic move towards restructuring the team, the coaching staff has decided to exclude five players from the squad continuing preparations for the new season. The players released include Kingsley Ido, Ahmed Ayman Mansour, Bonour Mugisha, Ziad Farag, and Mido Gaber, who has joined Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab. This decision reflects the club's intention to refine its roster and emphasize players who will contribute effectively in the upcoming season.
