He acknowledged the need for adjustments to prevent future issues, stating, "We are currently revising several provisions within the general and specific regulations of AFCON to avert any recurrences." He assured that future sanctions would be stricter and more proportionate to violations, aiming to enhance the credibility of African football and uphold the sport's reputation both on the continent and globally.
