People's Movement Calls for Disqualification of Local Leaders in Fes

On September 16, 2026, it was reported that Mohamed Ouzine, the Secretary-General of the People's Movement, has taken legal action through his defense team, urging the Administrative Court in Fes to disqualify five party officials from the Khénifra region. This request comes in light of recent discoveries that some leaders participated in communication gatherings with other political parties during the legislative elections. The court has scheduled a hearing for this case on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

This situation involves local leaders from various communities in the Khénifra region, including Bouhssousen, Moulay Bouazza, Tighzaline, and Sbeit Ait Raho, as well as the sixth deputy of the chairman of the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, Banaser Azkagh, a member of the party's political bureau.

The People's Movement has previously submitted a similar request to disqualify the secretary of the Ain Chkef municipal council in Moulay Yacoub after he ran as a candidate for the Progress and Socialism Party in the upcoming legislative elections. The Administrative Court in Fes is expected to review this case on Thursday, September 1, 2026.
