Arrest of a 35-Year-Old Suspect in Fraud Case
On Tuesday, April 14th, law enforcement officials from the judicial police of Marrakech successfully apprehended a 35-year-old man with a criminal record, suspected of involvement in a fraudulent scheme. Initial investigations revealed that the suspect had deceived numerous individuals by promising to arrange their travel, enrollment, and accommodation for studies at universities in an Asian country. However, upon arrival at their destination, these victims discovered they had been misled; instead of being enrolled in academic programs, they found themselves registered for language courses and placed in unsuitable living conditions, having lost substantial sums of money.
The diligent efforts of the police led to the capture of the primary suspect, and they have also identified a second individual believed to be an accomplice in this criminal activity. The arrested suspect is currently held in custody as part of an ongoing investigation overseen by the prosecutor's office, aimed at uncovering all the circumstances and details surrounding this case. Meanwhile, searches and inquiries continue to locate the second suspect, whose full identity has already been established.
