Police Crack the Case of a Murder in Fes
On the evening of June 3, 2026, the judicial police of the Fes security department successfully unraveled the mystery surrounding a murder that claimed the life of a young man in his thirties. The incident occurred in the Bab al-Ghul neighborhood at the end of April. Leveraging precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, the police were able to locate two suspects who were hiding in the neighborhoods of Wadi Fes and Marja. They were apprehended shortly thereafter.
Earlier, the authorities had arrested the primary suspect in this case after local residents in the Bensouda neighborhood caught him attempting to disguise himself in women's clothing (a burqa). The shocking murder took place on April 22, when a 39-year-old man was fatally injured due to multiple stab wounds inflicted with a sharp weapon. This heinous act sent shockwaves throughout the Bab al-Ghul area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Akdil district in Fes.
