Protest Planned Over Delayed Apartment Deliveries in Marrakech

Residents of Atlas 2 Project to Hold Protest Against Delays

In a significant escalation, a group of clients from the "Atlas 2 (E26)" project located in the Bab Marrakech area has announced plans to organize a protest on May 6, 2026, in front of the regional headquarters of Al Omrane. This demonstration is a response to what they describe as "unjustified delays" in the delivery of apartments that have been ready for nearly two years. According to information obtained by the newspaper, dozens of affected buyers are increasingly anxious and frustrated due to the absence of any official and clear timeline for the handover of their keys, despite the completion of construction work some time ago, as confirmed by their statements.

The frustrated clients assert that the ongoing cycle of delays and unfulfilled promises has compelled them to take this protest action after exhausting various attempts to communicate with company officials. These attempts included weekly visits to the regional office and direct calls, yet they have not received any tangible solutions to their plight. The situation has been exacerbated, according to several customers, by their ongoing struggles with rising rental costs, which continue to increase annually, at a time when they believe they should already be the rightful owners of their apartments. This scenario raises serious questions regarding the reasons behind the delay and the company's commitment to its contractual obligations.

The protesters aim to unite the affected clients and initiate a collective discussion about possible legal and organizational steps to defend their rights and ensure the prompt delivery of their apartments. All eyes are now on how Al Omrane will respond to this initiative, as pressure mounts from customers who are demanding a fair and just resolution to their ongoing suffering that has persisted for over two years.
